There are treatments that refresh the skin on the surface — and treatments that trigger its real renewal.
SkinPen microneedling belongs to the second group.
It is a medically controlled percutaneous collagen induction (CIT – Collagen Induction Therapy) procedure that creates microchannels in the skin, activating the natural healing process and triggering neocollagenesis and neoelastogenesis. In other words, the skin is signalled to renew itself — in its own, biological way.
The Signature SkinPen treatment isn’t just “microneedling” — it’s a precisely guided dermatological procedure that targets texture, pores, fine lines, scars and dermal quality.
The result isn’t simply smoother skin; it’s skin that, over time, becomes denser, more resilient and functionally higher quality.
At our clinic this treatment is never routine.
Before every session we assess the thickness of the dermis, the degree of photoageing, the presence of scars and the individual regenerative potential of the skin.
Because the real difference isn’t in the device — it’s in how it is used.
How is the treatment performed?
The treatment is delivered using a medical device that creates controlled micro-perforations in the epidermis and dermis, with the depth precisely set according to the indication and the area being treated.
These micro-injuries trigger:
- fibroblast activation
- synthesis of type I and type III collagen
- remodelling of the dermal matrix
The procedure is minimally invasive but biologically very active.
For the maximum effect, we often combine the treatment with:
- Morpheus8 (RF microneedling) for deeper stimulation and tightening
- CO2 Smaxel laser for more pronounced regeneration and texture
- Candela Nordlys for pigmentation and vascular irregularities
- HIFU for an additional lifting effect on deeper layers
- exosomes for enhanced regeneration
- PRP and Angel PRP (Arthrex) for stimulation of growth factors
- polynucleotides for tissue renewal
The combination is always determined individually — because the same skin doesn’t call for the same approach.
Who is the treatment for?
SkinPen microneedling is ideal for patients who notice:
- uneven skin texture
- enlarged pores
- fine lines and the first signs of ageing
- acne scars (atrophic scars)
- signs of photoageing (UV damage)
- tired, lifeless, dull skin
It is a particularly good choice for people who want a visible improvement in skin quality without volumisation and without changing the features of the face.
It can be used as a preventive treatment, as well as part of more serious regenerative protocols on more mature skin.
When are results visible?
The first effect (freshness and glow) is visible relatively quickly, but the real result comes gradually.
Neocollagenesis takes several weeks, during which the skin becomes:
- firmer
- smoother
- more even
Optimal results are achieved through a series of treatments.
Recovery and precautions
After the treatment, expect:
- redness (similar to mild sunburn)
- skin sensitivity
- mild swelling
Reactions settle within a few days.
We recommend:
- avoiding direct sun exposure
- using SPF protection
- avoiding active products (retinol, acids) for a few days
- avoiding intense physical activity for 24–48 hours
Preparing for the treatment
Before the treatment a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
We recommend:
- avoiding alcohol and anti-inflammatory medication before the treatment
- arriving without active inflammation or skin infections
Our approach
At our clinic SkinPen isn’t “one of the treatments” — it’s part of a dermatologically guided strategy of skin regeneration.
Treatments are delivered by experienced dermatology specialists, with a detailed assessment and individual planning.
We don’t just offer patients a treatment — we offer:
- time for assessment
- a clear explanation
- therapy tailored to their skin
Because the combination of knowledge, experience and dedication is what delivers what patients are looking for — results and reassurance.
