Laser removal of facial redness and capillaries

Treatment overview

Facial redness and visible capillaries are often more than an aesthetic concern — they can affect one’s everyday sense of confidence in one’s own skin. This treatment offers a targeted, medically precise solution that acts directly on the cause of the problem, rather than merely on its surface manifestation.

Selective laser energy is used to identify haemoglobin within dilated blood vessels, gradually causing them to close and the redness to recede.

It is worth noting that vascular laser treatments are today among the most precise in dermatology, precisely because they act selectively — targeting blood vessels exclusively whilst preserving the surrounding tissue to the greatest possible extent. It is this precision that delivers safe and reliable results, even in the delicate facial region.

How is the treatment performed?

The treatment is performed using targeted light or laser energy that penetrates the skin and acts directly on dilated capillaries.

During the treatment:

  • energy is absorbed by the blood vessels
  • the vessels are gradually closed
  • the body naturally eliminates them over time

The procedure is swift, controlled, and adapted to skin sensitivity, with a high degree of precision.

Who is the treatment for?

The treatment is ideal for individuals who:

  • experience persistent or intermittent facial redness
  • notice visible capillaries (nose, cheeks, chin)
  • have sensitive and reactive skin
  • wish for a more even and calmer skin tone

It is frequently the first choice for early signs of rosacea or a pronounced tendency towards redness.

Our approach

When it comes to treating redness, the difference lies not only in the technology — but in the understanding of the skin.

At our clinic, every treatment is planned by a specialist dermatologist with experience in a clinical setting. We analyse skin type, the cause and depth of the changes, and on that basis select the optimal technology and parameters.

We do not follow generic protocols. Each patient is approached individually, with sufficient time devoted to understanding both the skin condition and their expectations.

It is precisely this combination of knowledge, experience, and dedication that delivers what matters most to our patients — the confidence of knowing they are in the right hands.

Preparing for the treatment

Prior to the treatment, it is recommended to:

  • avoid sun exposure and sunbeds for at least 2 weeks beforehand
  • refrain from using harsh skincare products in the days leading up to the treatment
  • arrive with clean skin, free of make-up

Anaesthetic cream is generally not required.

Recovery and precautions

Recovery is minimal and does not require any interruption to daily activities.

Mild and transient reactions are possible:

  • redness
  • slight swelling
  • increased skin sensitivity

Recommendations:

  • use a high SPF sunscreen
  • avoid heat sources (sauna, hot baths) for several days
  • use soothing skincare products

When are results visible?

Results are often visible after the very first session, whilst optimal efficacy is achieved over the course of several appointments.

The skin gradually becomes:

  • more even in tone
  • calmer
  • visibly clearer of capillaries

Results emerge naturally, without abrupt changes.

Treatment combinations

For a long-term, stable, and aesthetically balanced outcome, this treatment is frequently combined with other technologies from our state-of-the-art laser centre:

  • Candela Nordlys — the key technology for vascular changes and further evening of skin tone
  • CO2 Smaxel — for skin regeneration and improvement of texture
  • Morpheus8 — for strengthening skin structure and reducing reactivity
  • Icoone Laser Med — for stimulating microcirculation and regeneration
  • HIFU — for additional tightening and tissue support

Additionally, based on individual assessment:

  • chemical peels tailored to sensitive skin
  • medical treatments for strengthening the skin barrier
  • targeted therapies for regulating inflammatory processes

Every combination serves a clear purpose — not merely to eliminate visible changes, but to stabilise the skin over the long term.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

Here you’ll find answers to the questions our clients most often ask about our services and treatments.

+ Why does facial redness and dilated capillaries occur?
Redness and capillaries are most commonly the result of weakened vascular structure in the skin, genetic predisposition, sun exposure, or conditions such as rosacea. Over time they become more visible as the skin loses its ability to regulate circulation.
+ How does the laser act on capillaries and redness?
The laser targets haemoglobin within the blood vessels, heating them and causing them to close, without damaging the surrounding tissue. This reduces the visibility of capillaries and evens out the skin tone.
    + When are results visible?
Improvement is often visible after the very first session, with further reduction in redness achieved over the course of several treatments.
+ How many treatments are required?
This depends on the severity of the concern; however, a course of treatments is most commonly recommended for optimal results.
    + Is the treatment painful?
The sensation is mild and brief, often described as a gentle tingling or warmth.
+ Is there any recovery time?
Minimal — some transient redness may occur, which subsides quickly.
+ Why is laser treatment the best choice for this concern?
Because it acts directly on the cause — the blood vessels — delivering a precise and long-lasting result that cannot be achieved by superficial methods.
