Treatment overview
Facial contouring represents the most advanced approach to aesthetic dermatology — a treatment in which the face is not viewed through individual regions, but as a whole that can be subtly sculpted, balanced, and rejuvenated.
Unlike classical treatments that target a single zone, this is about a facial contouring strategy — restoring volume, defining contours, and achieving proportions that appear natural and harmonious.
Using hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers alongside Botox and biostimulators, it is possible to:
- define the cheekbones
- sculpt the jawline
- soften under-eye hollows
- correct asymmetries
- restore lost volume
- smooth expression lines and refresh the complexion
- improve skin quality from within
What makes this treatment exceptional is that it does not add “more” — it restores facial balance.
Interestingly, modern facial contouring is built upon the MD Codes approach, which uses precise anatomical points to achieve maximum effect with a minimal amount of filler and other injectable methods — primarily Botox and biostimulators. This is precisely why results today look sophisticated rather than artificial.
Patients often arrive with a feeling that is difficult to articulate — that the face looks tired, less defined, or somehow “heavier”, particularly in photographs or in certain lighting.
It is not always a single wrinkle or a single region — it is a loss of harmony.
Facial contouring addresses exactly this — restoring structure, balance, and freshness, without altering your identity.
How is the treatment performed?
The treatment is carried out by applying dermal fillers across multiple strategic facial regions, along with Botox in the upper third of the face, followed by biostimulators.
During the procedure:
- the entire facial structure is analysed
- proportions and the relationship between regions are assessed
- an individualised treatment plan is defined
- filler is applied to targeted points
- Botox is administered to the upper third of the face
Needles or cannulas are used depending on the region and the treatment objective.
Who is the treatment for?
The treatment is ideal for individuals who:
- wish to define their facial contours
- notice a loss of volume and structure
- desire a natural lifting effect without surgery
- wish to improve their proportions and symmetry
- seek a sophisticated yet understated result
It is equally suited to younger individuals wishing to enhance their contours, and to those seeking rejuvenation without aggressive procedures.
Our approach
Facial contouring demands more than technique — it demands an aesthetic sensibility.
At our clinic, treatments are performed by specialist dermatologists who view the face as a whole, rather than a collection of separate regions.
We do not follow trends.
Every plan is individual — based on anatomy, proportions, and your personal goals.
We pay particular attention to:
- balance between regions
- natural volume transitions
- preserving facial expression
We take time to plan — because an outstanding result begins before a single injection is placed.
After treatment, patients often cannot pinpoint exactly what has changed — yet they know they look better, fresher, and more confident.
At Poliklinika Jakić, we use premium products manufactured to the highest medical standards, based on hyaluronic acid, with proven efficacy and safety underpinned by extensive clinical studies.
Brands such as Teosyal, Neauvia, Ellanssé, and Restylane hyaluronic acid fillers have been developed under the strictest medical regulation at European centres of excellence (Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands…)
Preparing for the treatment
Prior to treatment, it is recommended to:
- avoid alcohol and certain medications (as advised by your doctor)
- arrive with a clean, make-up-free face
- inform your doctor of any current medications or therapies
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied where required.
Recovery and precautions

Recommendations:
- avoid applying pressure to the treated areas
- avoid strenuous physical activity on the day of treatment

- improved harmony and proportion
Treatment combinations
For maximum effect, facial contouring is frequently combined with treatments that address skin quality and lifting:
- HIFU — for lifting of deeper structures
- Morpheus8 — for tightening and collagen stimulation
- CO2 Smaxel — for regeneration and skin texture
- Candela Nordlys — for skin quality and complexion
- Icoone Laser Med — for microcirculation and regeneration
Additionally:
- Botox for the upper third of the face
- biostimulator treatments
All combinations are planned individually — with the aim of achieving a natural, long-lasting result.
